Gibran Marten Inspired By The Experience Of Nge-kost For Lorong Kost Film

JAKARTA - Gibran Marten is the main character in Ganank Dera's latest horror film, Lorong Kost. This film produced by Minka totaling and Travelstory takes a story that is close to the community.

Apart from acting, Gibran is known to be the developer of story ideas from this film. He told that the plot of this film was inspired by his experience of living in a boarding house.

Ide initially went to PH Minka because it was close. It seems that there are many stories during the boarding house from PH Minka. Producers want stories that don't need to think about it hard, suddenly think about Oh yes (about) ngkost," said Gibran March at a press conference in South Jakarta on Monday, June 23.

"Actually, I just gave him the initial idea," he said again.

Gibran Marten plays Bayu, one of the boarding house residents who also gets terrible terror along with other boarding house residents. Bayu is told as a character who likes to seduce boarding women.

"(I) and my character are not close. I and Nadhira (Hill) have played together. With others, it's a bit awkward but right at a familiar location," said Gibran again.

Ganank Dera as the director also explained that the fear he made in this film also felt raw to highlight his fame.

"That's why we have a lot of discussions with our fellow players because the atmosphere is scary, the fear is scary and not direct," said Ganank Dera.

Meanwhile, the film Lorong Kost will be released in Indonesian cinemas starting June 26, 2025.
