JAKARTA - Ju Hahnyeon released a new statement regarding the alleged prostitution that had circulated this week. He also confirmed that he was expelled from the BOYZ group unilaterally.
Previously, One Hundred as the agency THE BOYZ stated that Ju Hahnyeon left the group because the company could not continue to trust the artist. They also explained that this action was taken after discussing with other group members.
Friday, June 20, Ju Hahnyeon made a new article on his Instagram account. He emphasized that he was not involved in prostitution transactions even though he confirmed that he met Kirana Asuka, who is a porn actress.
Prostitution transactions are illegal acts in South Korea. Korean citizens who carry out transactions can be sentenced to prison even though transactions are carried out outside the South Korean country.
"Although I have explained that I am not involved in any illegal activities, some journalists and the media continue to write malicious articles. In response, I will take legal action," wrote Ju Hahnyeon.
"If there is evidence that I am involved in prostitution, I ask that the evidence be published. Furthermore, I have never opted out of the group or given permission for my exclusive contract termination," he continued.
Ju Hahnyeon claims One Hundred's agency made unilateral claims. Not only that, he was also asked for a contract compensation money even though he didn't want to leave.

"Although there is no valid reason for termination of the contract, my agency is trying to fake it all. Some media are also trying to defame by linking prostitution without evidence," explained Ju Hahnyeon.
"The agency asked me to pay 2 billion won in compensation and leave the company but I never accept this," he said.
The former Produce 101 participant questioned the attitude of the agency which seemed not to protect their artists and even threatened to ask for payment.
"When I refused to accept the termination of the contract, the agency sent a notification that the contract had expired because of my wrong actions, rejecting procedures according to the contract and even giving warnings about compensation," he continued.
"To be honest, I was very scared. But I realized if I gave up, the environment could be a place where people without power could be destroyed because of what they did. Until now, I have always been silent, believing the truth will come. But I can't stay silent when an attempt is detrimental to someone's life because of the wrong accusations," he said.
I ask for responsibility from the agency that removed me from the team and made baseless claims for termination of contracts and media that call prostitution without facts. Whatever happens, I will look forward to the end to seeing the truth. I speak and hope that this can be a spirit for people out there," he said.
The case also entered the investigation stage after a resident reported Ju Hahnyeon and his case was questioned by the Gangnam Police, Seoul.
