Oki Setiana Dewi Reveals The Role And Mission Of Humanity In The Film Hayya 3: Gaza

JAKARTA - Actress and preacher Oki Setiana Dewi is back on the big screen through the film Hayya 3: Gaza, a film that tells a human story and cares about Palestine. In this film, Oki plays the role of a childcareer in an orphanage.

"Actually, my role is as someone who lives in an orphanage that takes care of children, like that," said Oki Setiana Dewi in the Thamrin area, Central Jakarta, Sunday, June 8.

Although he admitted that the role he played was not much different from the previous characters, Oki felt proud to be involved in a work that brought a big message to humanity.

"So I don't think the characters are too different from my previous characters. But thank God I am happy to be in the ranks of people who care about Palestine," he said.

As a public figure with a large number of followers on social media, Oki realizes the moral responsibility to take advantage of his platform in spreading social awareness. He stressed the importance of mobilizing others to take care of the Palestinian issue.

"Sometimes we as people who have quite followers, it seems sad if we don't do something. If we can move, why can't we do something so that people can move too," he added.

Lebih dari sekadar tampil di film, Oki melihat kehadirannya dalam Hayya 3: Gaza sebagai bagian dari upaya mengajak masyarakat untuk peduli dan bergerak membantu Palestina.

"So what I did today is part of inviting people to move to care about Palestine," he said.

Through the duration of about an hour and a half of this film, Oki hopes that the humanitarian messages conveyed can raise public awareness.

"So they watch it in an hour and a half, so hopefully they can get information, then they end up paying attention to Palestine," he concluded.
