Exiting Play M, Naeun Assures Apink Not Dismissed

JAKARTA - Today, May 1, Naeun wrote her statement after ending her contract with Play M Entertainment, the agency that oversees APink.

Previously, Play M announced Naeun to be the only member of APink to discontinue the contract while the other five members renewed. On the same day, Naeun reportedly discussed with YG Entertainment.

Through a letter uploaded on Instagram, Naeun thanked Pandas - a designation for APink fans for their support.

"The great love and support I received when 18-year-old Son Naeun sang I Don't Know grew to become the 28-year-old Son Naeun she is today," he said.

The Dinner Mate player explained that his decision had been carefully planned with APink members and the agency.

"For the time being, we will focus on our own (career) and we will come together again and present you good things as Apink with one heart and the same goal."

"Leaving the family I spent 10 years with and starting in a new place is an alienating thing, so I'm worried, but I will work hard to become a Son Naeun who keeps moving forward!"

Meanwhile, YG Entertainment said they were still in the discussion stage with Son Naeun. APink is currently preparing a special album to celebrate 10 years of debut.
