Netflix Launches First Teaser For DC Series, Sweet Tooth

JAKARTA - Netflix has released a teaser for the latest fantasy series titled Sweet Tooth. The series is adapted from the DC comic by Jeff Lemire produced by Robert Downey Jr. and his wife Susan Downey and Jim Mickle, Beth Schwarts, and Amanda Burell.

The teaser shows a world that was hit by a disaster 10 years ago due to The Great Crumble. Therefore, there are babies that have human and animal forms which are called hybrids.

The story focuses on Gus (Christian Convery), a half-deer who leaves home to find a world damaged by disaster. He joins a group of hybrids like himself in search of these answers.

“Nobody knows who was the first, hybrid or virus. But that question will be the biggest mystery of our life, ”said Gus's narration on the teaser.

According to Jim Mickle, Sweet Tooth is a dystopian story with a message of extraordinary beauty. "This series will show what family is, the true meaning of home, and the importance of holding on to humanity."

It is known that the Sweet Tooth series has been in the works since 2016 and they hope that the audience can enjoy this fantasy story.

Sweet Tooth stars Convery, Nonso Anozie, Adeel Akhtar, Aliza Vellani, Stefania LaVie Owen, Dania Ramirez, Neil Sandilands, Will Forte, and James Brolin.

Sweet Tooth will arrive on Netflix starting June 4. Watch the teaser below.
