Have you ever imagined running while enjoying the beautiful natural scenery, cool air, and local cultural squares? That's the experience offered by the 2025 BOGORUN Cultural Park x, the first running event in Bogor Regency which will be held on Sunday, 11 May 2025 in the Cultural Park area, Sentul City, Bogor.

The 2025 BOGORUN Cultural Park x is the first running event presented by the Bogor Regency Government through the Bogor Regency CORMI and Idea Run, which will open a series of 543th Bogor Anniversary celebrations.

"More than just a sporting event, this event is a celebration of an active lifestyle that is harmonious with sport tourism and local cultural heritage. No wonder the enthusiasm of the community is so great to welcome the event initiated by the Bogor Regency Government together with the Bogor Regency CORMI and Idea Run," said Safrita Aryana, Race Director of IdeaRun, when met at the Tegar Beriman Building, Cibinong, Bogor on Friday, May 9.

Carrying the local philosophy Kuta Udaya Wangsa, this event presents three competition categories, namely KUTA 5K, UDAYA 10K, and WANGSA Half Marathon (21 km), which are designed to provide experience in running in the midst of a charming natural landscape and a typical cultural atmosphere of Bogor.

More than 4,000 participants from all over Indonesia are targeted to participate in this event, making it not only as a fitness moment, but also as a social event that strengthens connections between communities.

"More than just sports, this event is the first step in Bogor Regency in introducing sport tourism as part of the nation's identity and pride," added Safrita.

"It's not just the beginning of the Bogor Regency trip, but this is the beginning of the Bogor Regency journey towards a healthier, stronger and full of passion for togetherness," he continued.

The chairman of the Bogor Regency CORMI, Rike Iskandar, saw this event as part of a healthy lifestyle that is now increasingly popular with urban communities.

"This has been initiated by the regent, it has been discussed before. We want to invite the public to exercise. We initially saw a lot of sports in Pekansari," said Rike.

He also emphasized the importance of social and economic impacts from this event.

"BoGORUN's training is the first time it's a marathon. We invite people to exercise. Bogor Run is economically and socially impacting," added Rike.

From the local government side, Bogor Regent Rudi Susmanto stated that the 2025 BOGORUN Cultural Park x is a stepping stone to the level of international sports. Rudi emphasized the long-term potential that this event carries.

"This is the initial stage of carrying out international sports activities in Bogor, as well as athletes with disabilities. Of course, it provides challenges well. We carry out it in Bogor Regency," he added.

"Of the 4,000 participants, most of whom came from Bogor Regency, followed by other Jabodetabek areas. These are extraordinary steps. Today we are making an event that has a big impact on social and economic to the community," said Rudi.

Uniquely, this event is also expected to be a driving force for the local economy.

"They Jakarta people will stay in Bogor Regency. That way they stay in Bogor, Jajan Bogor, after running a marathon, traveling in Bogor. We want to improve the economy", said Rudi.

He also said that this event was initiated by the younger generation of Bogor, which made it more relevant to the current era.

This event not only welcomes general runners, but also provides inclusive space for five Wheelchair Exhibition Race participants and 10 Special Needs Personnel (IBK) from NPCI. Meanwhile, the traditional art stage and the involvement of the local community will make the atmosphere more lively and authentic.

With the potential for economic turnover of up to tens of billions of rupiah and the contribution to Regional Original Revenue (PAD) in the future, the 2025 BOGORUN Cultural Park is predicted to become an annual landmark in the Indonesian sports tourism calendar.
