Hijab And Live Umrah, Celine Evangelista Grateful Still Given Time To Change

JAKARTA - Actress Celine Evangelista shares her spiritual story full of meaning and long processes. Celine openly reveals how her inner journey is in finding calm and improving herself.

"Actually, for self-study, it's actually been a long time, so from the past I really like wearing the hijab, sometimes I take part in studies, but private, if it's not covered with a veil, so I don't become too fugitive because I like to be reported, 'Celeline suddenly wears a hijab'," said Celine Evangelista, quoted by VOI from Instagram @rumpi_ttv, Monday, May 5.

"It's just because I want to, then I'll be asked, 'What religion?' I actually really want to improve myself first, I want to be a person first," he continued.

According to Celine, she has started to feel the process of changing it since 2017, when she began to be interested in following the study and slowly explored spirituality.

"From yesterday, I really like it, actually it's just a process. Now the process has actually started to like it and started learning so that it's actually slowly from 2017," he said.

The urge to change comes from within himself, especially from being ashamed of past sins that make him want to be better.

"(The desire to wear the hijab because) It's just a shame, ashamed of the sin, maybe there's nothing we can have, meaning there's nothing I can be proud of in my past, but it can be a lesson where I can learn from the experience I've been through, from the life I've lived, up and down," explained Celine.

He also shared how gratitude and emotion arise when he realizes how much God loves him, even though he feels that he has not done much that glorifys Him.

"Masha Allah, of course we are ashamed in front of Allah, ashamed in front of God too, 'how come God is this good with me?', even though what I did was nothing to glorify God, there were many sins, felt that he was a dwarf in front of God, so it's like maybe what we can do, improve ourselves in front of Allah," he said full of emotion.

Closing her statement, Celine expressed her gratitude for being still given the opportunity to change and be better.

"Yes, it must be because it is still allowed and given time to be better, God willing," he concluded.
