JAKARTA Actress Nana Mirdad recently shared her experience which is quite surprising regarding the use of digital financial features in a popular application. Nana openly reveals how she feels unconsciously trapped in a legal online loan system (pinjol).

"Honestly, I was interested because I thought this was a good gesture from @g* to make it easier for us because I usually top up the gopay money and it was a bit dim when I was in a hurry. I didn't think this was like a loan. The problem is from a trusted app, right," wrote Nana.

The initial intention was only for comfort, but due to busyness and urgent situation, the feature was used completely without realizing it as a form of loan.

"But people's names sometimes don't get top up and eventually use them too. Sometimes IDR 800 thousand, sometimes IDR 1 million. Not billions, no. This time I arrived at WA really annoying," he continued.

"Finally, I just found out from you that this is indeed a form of legal borrowing and their danger is legal, so they really have a link to make our data bad at BI," he said disappointedly.

Not only that, he also criticized the collection method which was considered arbitrary and could damage the user's financial reputation.

"Imagine it or not if the one who collects the model is like this, the reporting to BI will also be messy, arbitrarily, at will. DIR!! Bye, no," wrote Nana.

In fact, he never intended to apply for a loan, especially from an online platform.

"There is no intention of looking for a loan at all, you know. But it turns out that the treatment is right, it seems like you are caught in a loan. Even though in the application it's different, you know, features for loans and features for pay later. But it turns out that the function is the same, you have to be careful," he said.

Through this personal experience, Nana hopes to warn others to be more alert to digital financial services.
