JAKARTA Senior Actor Adjie Pangestu finally opened his voice regarding the news of his divorce that was not widely known to the public. Adjie explained that the divorce process was carried out peacefully and was deliberately not shared with the public.
"Actually, the process is the same, registering the lawsuit or divorce application in court but it happens to be in Bandung, in Soreang. As usual, it just happens that you don't go to the ticket," said Adjie Pangestu, quoted by VOI from Instagram @rumpi_ttv, Sunday, May 4.
"But because we both don't want to be busy like that, so yes, we don't clarify, we don't fight either, we don't fight for something either. So we separate well," he continued.
Adjie also explained that even though he was not the one filing the lawsuit, he was still involved in the process until the end.
"So the ex-wife registered the lawsuit to the Soreang court. But when I took the divorce certificate myself (which took it)," he said.
When asked about concerns about media coverage, Adjie admitted that his fear was not in the public spotlight, but in personal trauma related to the failure of marriage.
"Unfortunately, (the divorce is news) there must be that fear. Actually, it's not a fear because of the news but the fear of remarrying, it will fail again. It has its own trauma, fear itself," said Adjie Pangestu.

However, he emphasized that media attention was not foreign to him. Since the first, his personal life has often been in the spotlight.
"But when it comes to news later, I'm not really afraid, because from the first marriage, second marriage, dating, until marriage again it's always crowded. So actually there's no need to be afraid anymore, it's starting to get used to it," he concluded.
