Anya Geraldine Reveals Reasons For Not Getting Married: Marriage Target Not To Divorce

JAKARTA Anya Geraldine tries to discuss her views on marriage. Anya revealed the reason why she was not married until now, although she often gets questions from many people.

"So, if someone asks me, 'when is the marriage target? How come you didn't get married until now? What age target?', there are so many who ask," said Anya Geraldine, quoted by VOI from YouTube Denny Sumargo, Tuesday, April 29.

Instead of determining age as a benchmark for marriage, Anya actually emphasized the importance of the goal of building a lasting household.

"I'm just saying it's like this, 'if I'm not targeting marriage at what age, but if I'm the target of getting married not to divorce, that's why I'm sorry for losing for a while'," he continued.

According to Anya, finding a life partner is not an easy matter, especially with the intention to maintain a lifelong marriage.

"Actually there is no (likely marriage is not divorced). That's why it's difficult," he said.

In his search a few years ago, Anya admitted that she had tried to find a partner who was close to perfection. However, he realized that perfection is not real in human relations.

"That's why I thought a few years ago looking for something that was close to perfection. Yes, there's also nothing to look for the perfect one," he said.

Anya has now changed her perspective in choosing a partner. He is more focused on finding someone whose shortcomings he can still tolerate.

"Then it's like, crazy, nothing really, it's true that all girls or boys are always there pluses and minuses, but now I think like this, 'OK, I'm looking for someone who is definitely not perfect but at least I can tolerate him badly'," he said.

"Which one is the worst I can tolerate, so it will minimize quarrels, minimize commotion, minimize divorce maybe," he concluded.
