The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy initiated the presence of the Indonesian Pavilion at the Dubai 2025 ATM, which took place from April 28 to May 1, 2025. Carrying the theme "Experiential Tourism," this pavilion introduces a variety of experience-based tourism services, such as gastronomi tourism, marine tourism, to wellness tourism.

As many as 20 Indonesian tourism industry players, ranging from hotel and resort providers to tourism operators, actively participate in introducing their flagship services and attractions in the Middle East market. The Deputy for Marketing of the Ministry of Tourism, Ni Made Ayu Marthini, emphasized the importance of strengthening promotions in the international market to support the achievement of foreign tourist arrival targets. The government targets the arrival of 14 to 16 million foreign tourists throughout 2025, with 249 thousand of them coming from the Middle East region.

"This target shows an increase of about 6.4 percent from the previous year, so a more aggressive and targeted promotional strategy is needed," said Made.

Based on data from the Ministry, the number of tourists from the Middle East visiting Indonesia in 2024 reached 224,000 people, experiencing significant growth of 24 percent compared to the previous year. Assistant Deputy for Marketing for Foreign Tourism III, Raden Wisnu Sindhutrisno, added that collaboration with various international partners is very important to expand the range of promotions. Through a pre-scheduled appointment system between industry players (sellers) and potential buyers (buyers), it is hoped that Indonesia will be able to achieve an interaction target of up to 44,000 potential pax during the exhibition.
