JAKARTA Young actress Syifa Hadju shared her experience in dealing with pre-memnstruation syndrome or PMS which is often heavier than the menstrual period itself. In her statement, Syifa revealed that mood swings are a challenge in itself that she often experiences.

"I usually do, when PMS is more difficult than during menstruation. Because when I was at PMS, for example, I didn't check my menstrual date, I was like 'how come I kept crying all of a day, huh?' Like seeing (videos) of cats in what application, I was immediately sad, it turned out that I wanted to have a menstruation," said Syifa Hadju at Press Conference Charm: Launch of New Tagline 'Expression Without Stopping', South Jakarta, Tuesday, April 22.

He explained that changing the mood was one of the most dominant symptoms during PMS. This even affects the work process while on set.

"So it's more about changing the mood and also more emotional. That's why maybe when I shoot again when I'm doing PMS, it's a bit easier for the crying scene, because it's more emotional," he continued.

Syifa also admitted that she often experienced a strong desire to eat certain foods during PMS, especially sweet foods.

"And usually I save, save food. I really like sweet foods, so usually when it's PMS, I feel more like shipping sweet foods," he continued.

Even so, Syifa still prepares basic needs such as sanitary napkins to anticipate the coming months, but chooses not to rely on pain relievers.

"If the sanitary napkins are on stand by, of course, even though I don't have any more on my schedule, I will definitely stand by. If it's medicine, well I'm not the type that depends on the mother, or medicine, or pain skills during menstruation," said El Rumi's lover.

He emphasized that despite the pain, he prefers to endure it and use natural methods to relieve discomfort.

"Because I feel, I don't want to just depend. So even if I'm sick, it's okay, I'll just hold it. After all, there is this Cooling Fresh person who is very helpful," explained Syifa Hadju.

"That's why I really try to avoid drugs, although maybe there's nothing wrong with drugs. I just don't want to just depend," he concluded.
