Accused Of Cheating, Paula Verhoeven Had Denies During Divorce Trial

JAKARTA - The divorce process between Baim Wong and Paula Verhoeven continues to be in the public spotlight. In a trial held at the South Jakarta Religious Court, Public Relations of the Suryana Court revealed a number of the main reasons behind Baim's divorce suit against his wife.

"The lawsuit or the main point of the matter filed by the applicant filed for divorce or wanted to divorce his wife, namely the respondent (Paula Verhoeven) is the main pattern because in the household there are often quarrels," said Suryana, Wednesday, April 16, 2025.

According to Suryana, Baim felt that Paula was no longer carrying out her role as a wife as she should.

"The main factor causing what was expressed or what was conveyed was because he considered the respondent as a wife no longer able to carry out obligations as a wife, including being dishonest, often lying, irresponsible as a wife should be," he continued.

The dispute between the two is said to be getting worse because of the selfish attitude shown, as well as the emergence of third person issues that are widely reported by the media.

"Then in every fight, the respondent is selfish and what appears in the mass media is the disturbance of a third person. So that is the main point of the lawsuit filed by the applicant (Baim Wong)," added Suryana.

However, according to the court, Paula Verhoeven denied all allegations made in the lawsuit, except for two things.

"Against the arguments of the petitioner's petition, the defendant's party denied it, so he broadly denied it," said Suryana.

"Except for what the respondent acknowledged was the separation of residences, namely since April 1, 2024 and the second is related to children who have been living with the respondent since September, living with the applicant and until now," he concluded.
