Busy Work, Marshel Widianto Still Prioritizes Time For Family

JAKARTA - Comedian Marshel Widianto shared a story about how he tried to balance the time between work and his family. Even though his filming schedule was often crowded until late at night, he still took the time to meet his wife and children.

"I get used to it when, for example, going home a little late, always accompanying him (sons and wives) first, that's it, even though he's already asleep. For example, in the morning, try to wake up early, even though he comes home early in the morning, right. He sometimes goes home in the morning," said Marshel Widianto in the Tendean area, South Jakarta, Saturday, March 22.

He admitted that sometimes he had to sacrifice his sleep to make sure his son still felt the presence of a father figure in his life.

"At first, yes, sometimes you don't sleep too, for at least meet him before he goes to school, that's why, let him be his father, that's it, and if you can accompany him when he goes to school, then accompany him to school, that's it," he continued.

For Marshel, building a close bond with his child is a top priority.

"So so that it can be more bounded, and so that my children don't feel what I feel first, that's it," continued Marshel Widianto.

He also revealed the reasons behind his decision to spend more time with his family.

"Because my parents (gue) used to be more concerned about how their families can eat, that's how they give their time. So that's what I don't want my children to do," he said.
