Exclusive Donny Damara Continues To Be Elegant In Wanting To Explore Acting

JAKARTA - Donny Damara can be called one of the actors in his 50s who are active in acting. Playing more than 20 roles, he admits that he always feels restless in the act.

This anxiety was stated by playing various roles and continuing to explore his role. This year, he started acting by playing Beni in the film Ketindihan. This film is one of the six films planned to air this year.

"I've never played a tennis coach or something like that, but this is a new thing as a coach, so the family relationship and kinship between father and wife, children I have to make it different even though I was there," Donny Damara told VOI some time ago.

"It plays there but it's a little different but it's the actor's job not to be stereotype to deliver his actors, his role is so people don't think 'Oh, it's the same as A, B, C!'" he said.

Speaking of productivity, the actor who was born on October 12 thought an actor should have a sense of anxiety in developing and wanting to know. Acting since 1988, Donny Damara finds it difficult to choose a role in Indonesian cinema.

"Exploration, anxiety, questions that a person must have, especially those of an entrepreneur, an actor, must be restless and must always want to know, try something else," he said.

"If not, he will die. Then if the questions were easier, not really. I became a technical coach, I'm not a professional tennis player but coaching someone to become a good and correct athlete according to the stages and actions I've never had and that's what I have to explore," said Donny again.

"How can a father who is far away communicate with his family, I have to dig into what it looks like. What is the distance. So there is anxiety and what else is this going on, this is where the role is," he continued.

Acting more than 20 years to create persona not far from the character in the film. He views that making films in the past with the present is not much different. Instead, he feels that films in today's era are not a seromansa of past films.

Donny Damara is grateful that he is still trusted to explore various roles, not only a father. According to him, he is even challenged to distinguish the role of a father in the current era.

"I've never been Aki Kholil (His role in the film Guna Guna's Young Wife), I've never been so that's what he meant at my age, definitely friends have the opportunity to be not very small," said Donny Damara.

"Our job is to make a difference, what kind of father is he. A good father is easy, the hard one plays a cool father. A good father is easy, a cool father and a bad father is also difficult. Not an example of a good and fun father," he said.

"Humans are basically bad, so it's easier to become bad people than I think they are good people. Being a good person, yes, sincere or expressing the language deliverer is not full out, it seems that he is pretending but once he becomes a bad person, but being a bad person doesn't have to shout. That's the difference, you don't have to believe it. That's what you have to explore, "he said.
