Armenia Has Been Named The Best Adventure Destination In The World 2025

JAKARTA - Armenia, a small country in the South Kaupas region has just been named the Best Adventure Destination in the World 2025 by the PATWA International Travel Awards.

The award was announced at an event in Berlin by the Pacific Area Travel Writers Association, a non-profit organization focused on the global tourism industry.

"This award is a testament to the beauty of Armenia's nature, the variety of choices of adventure tourism, as well as the dedication of our tourism sector. We invite tourists from all over the world to explore the stunning landscape of Armenia and feel the sensation of adventure in a country rich in history and hospitality," said Chairman of the Armenian Tourism Committee, Lusine Gervorgyan, quoted from the Time Out page.

With its hilly landscape and steep mountains, Armenia is a haven for adventure lovers. Climbers can explore the path in the Zangezur Mountains bordering Azerbaijan or climb for several days in the Gaghama Mountains in the middle of the country. The highest peak in Armenia is Mount Aragats, the main challenge for true adventurers.

In addition to climbing, Armenia also offers adrenaline producers such as rock climbing and paragliding. The country is also rich in cultural sites, such as the Armeniaian Museum and Memorial Genocide which recalled victims of massacres in the Ottoman Empire in the early 20th century, as well as the Center for the Arts Cafesjian, a Soviet-era building featuring five exhibition halls and two garden galleries.

Although Armenia has been trying to promote sustainable tourism, many of its territory are still not visited by many tourists.

Some roads are still quite difficult to pass and transportation can be a challenge, especially for those who can't speak Armenian or Russian. However, isn't that actually part of an adventure?
