Shocked Fans, Wonwoo SEVENTEEN Departs Army April 3rd!

Shocking news came from the SEVENTEEN group. One of its members, Wonwoo, is confirmed to have served military duties starting next April.

Wednesday, March 5, PLEDIS Entertainment announced Wonwoo will be on duty on April 3. As a result, he could not follow SEVENTEEN's schedule for the future.

"We want to share the news that Wonwoo SEVENTEEN will start his military duties starting April 3 this year. Therefore, he cannot attend SEVENTEEN events after his duties," PLEDIS Entertainment said in a statement.

Some of the schedules in question are Tecate Pa'l Norte 2025 and meeting fans in Japan in April.

"As previously announced, Wonwoo will participate in SEVENTEEN in CARAT LAND according to schedule from March 20 to 21, and appear on several recorded content," he said.

The agency also did not say what division Wonwoo would serve, but they warned that there was no official delivery event the day he left.

"There is no official event on the day of departure and we ask you not to visit alternative military places. Give a message of support for Wonwoo through Weverse," the agency said.

We ask for love and support for the artist until he returns. We are also committed to giving Wonwoo all his needs during this time," he continued.

Wonwoo officially became SEVENTEEN's second member to leave for military service after Jeonghan in September 2024. Interestingly, Wonwoo and Jeonghan were combined as the newest sub-units from SEVENTEEN, Jeonghan x Wonwoo who debuted with This Man last year.
