JAKARTA - The 97th Academy Awards was held on Sunday, February 2 local time successfully giving appreciation in the film world. Various films with various topics of success became conversations and caused discussions between their categories.
Anora, Sean Baker's directed film surprisingly swept through five categories including key categories such as Best Picture and Best Actress. Baker also won categories as producer, director, editor, and author for his category.
The victory was followed by The Brutalist who won three categories including Best Actor amid controversy over the use of AI for the scene.
The film I'm Still Here, which tells the story of a family in the midst of the era of the Brazilian dictator, has won Best International Feature. Likewise, the documentary No Other Land tells the story of the struggle of Palestinians.
