As Willed, San Chai's Actor At The Barbie Hsu Meteor Garden Will Be Buried Tree Burially

JAKARTA - San Chai's role in the drama Meteor Garden Barbie Hsu will be buried under a tree or near a tree (treeburial).

The funeral with this method is carried out according to Barbie Hsu's will.

This was revealed by Dee Hsu, the younger brother of Barbie Hsu, quoted from TVBS, on Sunday, February 9, 2025. Dee Hsu said that his older brother had expressed his desire to be buried near a tree.

The family is taking care of the funeral, to fulfill Barbie Hsu's wishes. The Taipei City Government also offered burial plots in Yongai and Bukit Luoyu Parks.

The two locations are located in Muzha District, with a land area of 19,400 square meters.

To do treeburial, the ashes will later be placed on a plot of land, without a tombstone or a name carving.

Barbie Hsu cremation ashes are currently still at their residence, in Xinyi Taipei District, after being brought from Japan. The placement of cremation ashes was criticized by local netizens.

Netizens are worried that the decision to put ashes in the house will be disrespectful to their neighbors.

However, Barbie Hsu's family chose to keep the ashes at home until the native tree process was carried out.

Previously, Dee Hsu also stated that there would be no Barbie Hsu release ceremony in Taiwan.

He represents the family, only thanks everyone who loves Barbie Hsu.

"I'm sure he's happy and free in heaven now. We won't be holding a farewell ceremony for Barbie Hsu, because he's always been a humble person," said Dee Hsu some time ago.

"If you miss him, just keep it in your heart. Our whole family is grateful for your love for Barbie Hsu," he added.

Meanwhile, Barbie Hsu died in Japan, on February 3, 2025, after experiencing the flu that led to pneumonia while on vacation with family in the country.

He was treated at a local hospital, but his condition worsened quickly.
