NewJeans Member Affirms Not Returning To HYBE, Asks For New Name Suggestions

JAKARTA - Five NewJeans members responded to a lawsuit from ADOR and HYBE questioning the validity of their exclusive contracts. Previously, ADOR also submitted to court to prevent NewJeans from owning individual contracts with brands.

Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein released a new statement through their personal Instagram account. In that statement they also showed law firms to respond to the actions of their former label.

Through the media, we confirmed ADOR did not sue for contract validity but also an order to avoid advertising contracts. We appointed Shin & Kim LLC as our legal representative, we believe it is important to have firms capable of responding to them," the five members said.

Furthermore, they accused ADOR and HYBE of trying to silence the five members by saying they would enter a period of hiatus, even though they would end NewJeans' career.

Even after the end of our exclusive contract, baseless criticism spread across the media and YouTube videos provided mostly by ADOR and HYBE. "It's hard not to conclude that ADOR and HYBE are the centers of all these issues," he said.

"ADOR and HYBE publicly want us back but behind that, they continue to interfere and attack us relentlessly as before. Recently they met with our parents secretly to try to persuade or create conflict between us," the members continued.

NewJeans firmly do not want to return to the ADOR or HYBE label for this reason. They also want to complete all activities well but both parties do not seem to give the same response.

"We will confirm this. The five of us have no desire to return to HYBE or ADOR, where no level of trust can be expected," NewJeans said.

"After the contract ends, we want to do the rest of the schedule without conflict and loss but looking at ADOR and HYBE's efforts, we can't stand still. Through legal procedures, we will show the wrong actions of ADOR and HYBE and fight confidently in court to show the truth," they said.

Along with the statement, NewJeans created the latest uploads to ask fans for advice on new names, for them to use for a while.
