Joy Red Velvet Update Contract With SM Entertainment

JAKARTA - Red Velvet's joy is the third member to renew his contract with SM Entertainment. This contract was renewed for the first time since he joined the agency 10 years ago.

"Joy fulfilled the contract renewal with SM, based on the trust built over the years. He will continue his activities with full support," SM Entertainment said on Tuesday, January 14.

After Seulgi and Irene, we are delighted to continue the journey with Joy. We will do our best to help her show unlimited potential, not only as a member of Red Velvet but also solo artist Joy and actress Park Soo Young," the agency continued.

Joy also expressed her pride in being able to continue her contract with the agency she grew into for a decade.

"Through in-depth conversations with people who have worked with me for 10 years based on trust, I feel like I want to continue the steps together in a positive direction," Joy said.

"I will do my best to show fans on the side varying myself through the positive synergy I have with SM," he added.

Joy debuted with Red Velvet in 2014. After launching various hits, Joy debuted as a soloist with an album titled Hello in 2021.

In addition to music, Joy also started acting in 2017 with the drama The Liar and His Lover. He last acted in the series Once Upon a Small Town in 2022.

Not only that, but Joy also became a presenter, a soundtrack filler and became an ambassador for several well-known fashion brands.
