JAKARTA - Vacationing with luxury is the dream of many people. However, what if you stay in a hotel room which costs up to IDR 1.6 billion per night?

Reported by VOI from the Express.co.uk page on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, the Atlantis The Royal hotel, Dubai, which opened in January 2023, won the title as the most expensive hotel room in the world. This hotel room has 20 rooms at a cost of 80.000 Sterling pounds or IDR 1.6 billion per night.

Atlantis The Royal Dubai has won the title as the most expensive hotel room in the world, replacing a room worth 60,000 Sterling pounds or IDR 1.2 billion at the Palms Casino Resort.

This one luxury hotel room has four bedrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, bar and game area, as well as an office on two floors. In addition, there is a large terrace with an infinity pool facing spectacular views. Located on the 18th and 19th floors on the sky bridge of the building, this suite offers iconic landmark views such as Burj Khalifa, Ain Dubai, and Gulf Arab.

"We want to create something very elegant, magnificent, rich, and universal attractive. We hope the guests feel at home while staying here," Timothy Kelly, president of Atlantis, told Architectural Digest.

"You will enter the suite through a magnificent private foyer with a high ceiling. You will also see many decorative elements, which are our main focus," he continued.

This suite is decorated with many Calacatta marbles that dominate 12,140 square feet of space, coating walls, floors, and kitchen islands in it. To balance the marble rigid impression, textiles such as silk curtains, silk carpets, and sheets with 800 threads per inch are added.

"We also pay attention to the details of accessories and room facilities," added Kelly.

The suite is equipped with a gold-plated brush, comb, and barbershop, Hermès bathroom product, Frette bathroom robe, wide pillow, 146-inch TV, to Louis Vuitton's exclusive Ping-Pong table.

"Our client has very specific needs," Kelly said.

"They are experienced, classy, and very personal people in choosing the services they want," he continued.

This suite can accommodate up to nine adults and four children. However, all rooms in this block suite can be connected to the Royal Mansion, bringing the total to 20 rooms.

The hotel also offers personal trainers, gym staff, and can add a gym or massage room to the suite. In addition, private elevators and kitchens are available to ensure the privacy and safety of guests.
