JAKARTA - In recent years, solo traveling or traveling alone is very much in demand by tourists. In 2025, there will also be more solo travelers, especially from among women.

The year 2025 is predicted to be a golden moment for women to explore the world alone, quoted from The Independent, on Friday, January 3, 2025. This was revealed through a survey conducted by creative tourism firm Future Parters recently.

The survey discusses the desire to travel for tourists. The survey results reveal that the surge in interest among women to travel alone compared to the previous year.

The survey involved 4,000 tourists from the United States and 40 percent of women admitted that they wanted to travel alone. This figure is an 8 percent increase compared to 2024 data.

The high interest of women in solo traveling is because of the benefits they get. solo travel not only provides freedom for women, but also allows them to discover new meanings, confidence, and unforgettable experiences.

There are also several other reasons that encourage women to travel alone, reported by Virtuoso. Based on data from the site, 77 percent of women have an urge to be curious and exploration so they decide to go solo.

Then the data shows 65 percent of female solo traveling looking for happiness, 57 percent want to feel admiration for nature, and 51 percent are looking forward to excitement after ordering a trip.
