JAKARTA - Cambodian aromatic rice or rice was again named the "World's Best National" at the International World Rice Conference event in Manila, Philippines on November 7, 2024. This is the sixth time the country has won this prestigious international award.

According to the CRF, the 'Malis Angkor' brand represents high-quality premium aromatic rice which is believed to be the best rice from Cambodia.

Spokesperson for the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Im Rachana, congratulated him via his personal social media accounts and noted that Cambodia previously won this award in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2018, and 2022.

Rachana also encouraged farmers to plant "Phka Rumduol" and "Sen Kraop" varieties known for their delicious taste, high market demand, and reputation for both regional and global levels.

The CRF report released on November 7 states that in the first 10 months of 2024, Cambodia exported 507,029 tons of rice to 66 destinations through 55 export companies, with a total revenue of around USD 376.63 million or IDR 5.9 trillion.
