JAKARTA - The collaboration between Indonesia and Thailand was presented in the celebration of the commemoration of one of the shopping centers in Jakarta, recently. Various events will be presented at this department store to create a more exciting and fun shopping atmosphere. This celebration will be held for a full month, from November 22 to December 22, 2024, and involves a cultural alloy between Indonesia and Thailand.

Kong Surapongpracha, Director of the Central Department Store, expressed his enthusiasm for this event. According to him, Central has been in Jakarta for 10 years, providing the best choice of products and services so that it becomes the best loved department store in Jakarta. For that this year we package #Central1Dekade by collaborating with Indonesian and Thai cultures.

"In addition, this year we bring back Flower Extravaganza as a hallmark of Central Anniversary celebrations, we want visitors to be able to enjoy the beauty of the flowers presented during the first 5 days," he said.

Here are various excitements that can be followed during the celebration.

Cultural alloy

Showing collaboration between Indonesia and Thailand, which are both members of ASEAN, will present several typical arts between the two countries. Starting from the Indonesian dance performance and the martial arts/physical sports of Thailand, Muay Thai, this celebration will also feature a combination of Betawi costumes and Thai royal family flowers in visual form. This is a form of support for celebrating and strengthening diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Thailand which has existed for 75 years.

Participate Jirayut

To further enliven the atmosphere, it also invites the participation of singer Jirayut as Thai art ambassador who has performed many domestic music stages. Jirayut's participation is also in order to highlight the success of this Thai singer in Jakarta. The 'Flower Extravaganza', various real flowers will decorate 4 floors at the department store location at East Mall, Grand Indonesia Shopping Town. The combination of elements of Indonesia and Thailand is still present at the floral exhibition. Flower Extravaganza is the hallmark of every Anniversary Central Department Store, even in Thailand, Flower Extravaganza has been graced every moment of Anniversary for more than 20 years.

Starting with the Ground floor, the dominance of pink and green flowers forms a flow of water rising from 3 corners leading to one vortex point of water. The Ladies' area on the Upper Ground floor displays brighter colors with a blend of Orchid, Mawar, and Protea flowers. These flowers form a pile of stones and will decorate the gates that will be made of rattan woven, an original Indonesian symbolic. On the 1st floor, the Men's Central Department Store area is decorated with flowers with bold nuances and combined with weeds, making the decorations on this floor very Instagrammable. The last floor of the 2nd floor, which is a special area of Kids and Home, presents more cute and unique decorations. Leaves and beetles will be the core of the decorations on this floor with a touch of more colored flowers.
