Meira Anastasia made her directorial debut through her latest film, Cinta Tak As Beautiful as Korean Drama (CTSDK). Equipped with his experience as an assistant director and writer, this time he drives a story that is made himself based on his liking for Korean dramas.

This film brings together Lutesha with Ganindra Bimo, Jerome Kurnia, Anya Geraldine and Dea Panendra. This film produced by Imaginari features a love triangle story set in South Korea.

Cinta Tak As Beautiful As Korean Drama (CTSDK) tells the story of Dhea (Lutesha), a woman who gets a vacation gift to South Korea from her boyfriend, Bimo (Ganindra Bimo). Not alone, Dhea received a surprise to leave with her best friends, Tara (Anya Geraldine) and Kikan (Dea Panendra).

Vacations in Korea are getting more and more fun because they can realize their dreams of going to a Korean drama shooting place. The holiday changed after Dhea met Julian (Jerome Kurnia), a good friend in high school as well as her first love.

Dhea intends to invite Julian to go out together while they are in Korea, but the idea was rejected by Tara who emphasized that Dhea already has Bimo. Kikan himself supports Dhea's idea so that he can see who he really likes.

Julian offered Dhea two things: an explanation of why he has been missing for 4 years and the opportunity to start their romantic relationship from scratch after being held back for a long time.

Unlike the title, Cinta Tak Asindah Drama Korea (CTSDK) displays visuals like South Korea. Colorful, location selection, and impressive love story premises. A Korean drama that is synonymous with a funny romance love story is presented similar to Meira in this film.

The characteristics of the Korean romance drama are even clearer when there are efforts to form two camps, with the Bimo team or Julian team. The audience will be confused by the two characters who remain human and familiar in Korean dramas.

Some of the characteristics of other Korean dramas also look like slow moments of motion between characters, the use of music backgrounds in sweet scenes, and black out insertions in the story, and others.

The two supporting characters, Kikan and Tara, are like audience representations. Kikan, played by Dea Panendra, is impressive with his comedy spirit on the other side of Tara, played by Anya Geraldine, looks more serious and outspoken.

Behind the premises, this film keeps many surprises towards the next section. No need to worry because Meira neatly assembles it (certainly with Korean dramas) so that the audience does not get involved in the conflict.

Unfortunately, the desire to summarize what Korean dramas (with dozens of episodes) have backfired in itself. In the third part, everything spilled out as if everyone had to find their own conclusion. If you like watching Korean dramas, maybe this is not a problem but it is difficult to accommodate all the conflicts of all the characters.

Because of the subplot, our main character - Dhea has drowned among them. Fortunately, the story is still finished with a Korean drama style thanks to the acting of the five extraordinary main characters.

Lutesha managed to prove that he is not only reliable in one genre because in this film he displays an explosive and echoed side like the main character.

The three original songs also have a very concept with Korean dramas. The song Remember Today which is transferred to the Korean version by Shakira Jasmine, Ricecooker's If You Let Me, and Fiersa Bersari's song. Her sweet visuals will take us to the comedy romance genre that hasn't been present in Indonesia for a long time.

In addition, thanks to Meira's sensitivity as a female director, the film CTSDK is deep with a conflict that is layered and completed until the end of the story.

The film Cinta Tak As Beautiful As Korean Drama will be shown in Indonesian cinemas starting Thursday, December 5.
