JAKARTA - The celebrity Asri Welas said the reason for her and her husband, Galiech Ridha Rahardja, was finally convinced to separate after 17 years of marriage. Asri said that if it had been 5 years ago, they began to feel the difference in the principle that made them take a tough decision to separate. "There are differences in principles that maybe we have been going through for 4-5 years but we haven't met. This is a very tough decision, but the name is different in principle," said Asri Welas at the Depok Religious Court, Tuesday, December 3. During that time, Asri admitted that this was not a moment decision but they had thought carefully. "I've been thinking about this for 4-5 years, we've talked about this carefully," said Asri Welas. Even though he will separate, Asri emphasized that he and Galiech will continue to establish good relations as the parents of their three children. "But there is no such thing as a former family, mami, papa, we still mami papi Imam, Ibran, and Gibran. But I'm not the wife of Mas Galiech anymore, mas Galiech is not my husband anymore," explained Asri Welas.

He hopes that this divorce can be a form of introspection for both of them and can carry out the role of parents well. "Why can you separate? The story is that the mistake is so that it becomes an introspection for both of us. We both have to admit that this is not good but this has to happen and this is our choice," he said. "But we have consequences for being good parents, good mothers, good fathers, but we are not husband and wife anymore," he said.
