Ajil Ditto Was Obstacled With Adinia Wirasti In The Film HITBK

JAKARTA - Indonesian actor Ajil Ditto admitted that he felt awkward when he first started filming with Adinia Wirasti in his latest film "Long Life Too Many You" (HITBK) which will be released in Indonesian cinemas starting November 21, 2024.

"Who wouldn't be awkward? But, at first I was nervous, like, 'ih, playing with Adinia Wirasti'," said Ajil as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, November 16.

"The longer we meet, the more we chat, finally, 'love Sis Asti'," he continued.

In the film, Ajil and Adinia are paired as the main characters with unique romance stories.

Ajil is described as a pure fine art student named Sadali, while Adinia plays Mera who is the owner of an art gallery, cafe, as well as the owner of a rental house temporarily occupied by Sadali.

In this situation, both of them are faced with unusual romance between younger men and more mature women. The picture of the love situation that has been around for a dozen years makes Ajil and Adinia have to build the best chemistry so that it can be conveyed optimally to the audience.

"Initially he (Ajil) was really lucky, he immediately arrived, 'oh, this is a child', so I also agreed to keep moving the wrong way, but it doesn't work at the break barrier," said Adinia.

Luckily, both of them were able to work professionally until they were finally able to unite their chemistry well.

Not without reason, Ajil's awkwardness was also caused by Adinia's prestige and flying hours which had been in the film industry for a long time, so Ajil respected him as a fellow actor.

Ajil also shared his experience when playing an unusual character in the film HITBK. With preparations for shooting for more than a month, Ajil managed to explore Sadali's character in the film.

"I think Sadali's character is quite challenging because I don't really know, 'Wow, there are characters like this'," said Ajil.

He added, "If it is not dissected, from the start I will not understand which way Sadali's thoughts go".

In addition to preparing for filming with acting coaches, Ajil also conducted a series of painting training to explore his character.

Interestingly, Ajil first experienced painting when he was involved in the film HITBK.

"There were several workshops that didn't take a long time, I could paint all day," said Ajil.

"This is really the first experience because for the first time in a lifetime this time holding a brush and canvas," he continued.

Now, Ajil and the entire production team are ready to look forward to the release of the film "Long Life Too Many You" which will be shown in Indonesian cinemas starting November 21, 2024. The film stars Ajil Ditto, Adinia Wirasti, Hanggini, Grace JKT48, and others.
