Vendor's Explanation Of The Dua Lipa Concert Stage Structure Which Is Considered Unsafe

JAKARTA - The sudden cancellation of Dua Lipa's concert in Jakarta on Friday, November 8, 2024, WIB night, drew public attention. The concert should have been held at the Indonesia Arena Senayan, Jakarta, on November 9, 2024.

The cancellation occurred because of the concert stage structure which Dua Lipa and her management considered unsafe. The vendor for the production of the stage, Mataelang Productions, finally opened its voice.

The vendor emphasized that they had met the needs of stage production in accordance with safety standards. This includes completing the construction of the Dua Lipa concert stage since November 6, 2024.

"For this concert, we have completed stage preparations since November 6, 2024," said Mataelang Productions on Instagram, on Saturday, November 9, 2024.

Mataelang Productions confirms that it has received a special structure safety certificate for events from Certified structural engineers, who have experience in tackling international-scale events in Indonesia.

The Dua Lipa concert stage built by Mataelang Production has also been confirmed safe.

However, from Dua Lipa and her management, the stage was deemed unsafe so the concert had to be canceled.

Mataelang Productions admitted that they had done their best and respected Dua Lipa's management's decision and apologized.

"Apart from that, Tour Dua Lipa still feels that what we have been working on does not satisfy their standards," he said.

"We respect this decision and apologize for the inconvenience felt by fans and related parties. We will continue to be committed to providing the best service at the next opportunity," he added.

Meanwhile, previously the cancellation of Dua Lipa's concert in Jakarta was conveyed by her promoter, PK Entertainment, first on Instagram, on Friday, November 8, 2024, WIB night. Dua Lipa has also opened her voice regarding the cancellation of the concert.

The singer of the song New Rules admitted that she regretted not being able to hold her concert in Jakarta for reasons of stage security.

In fact, Dua Lipa is already in Jakarta and admits that she is looking forward to meeting fans in Indonesia.
