Passing Three Villages, Said Menparekraf Sandiaga Uno After Fun Run Fordeswita In Likupang

JAKARTA - Likupang, South Sulawesi is one of the super priority destinations of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf). This area has also just held sports tourism or sport tourism by holding the Flag Off Fun Run Fordeswita event on Paal Likupang Beach, Sunday (13/10/2024).

This running competition crosses three tourist villages in Likupang covering Marinsow, Kinunang, and Pulisan Tourism Villages. This competition was of course attended by Menparekraf Sandiaga.

"Today we started the activity with a 9.7 kilometer running competition, which is part of a sports festival in tourist villages. This is part of the activities of Korni, North Minahasa Regency, and TEPANAS, to further improve sport tourism in the Likupang Super Priority Destination," said Menparekraf Sandiaga.

The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy hopes that this activity in tourist villages will increasingly lead to quality tourism, green tourism with world quality.

"I congratulate you, there are around 400 participants fighting for prizes of Rp. 20 million and door prize bicycles, there are also vouchers from some of our partners. And this also closes the activation of one of our partners, namely Grab for five destination areas like this," said Sandiaga.

The Regional Secretary of North Minahasa Regency, Novly G. Wowiling, revealed that the increase in the number of tourist visits to Likupang reached 120 percent during the development period of the parekraf sector under the leadership of Menparekraf Sandiaga. From only 25,000 visits, it rose to 60,000 tourist visits.

"This provides encouragement, including for Fordeswita's activities today, providing extraordinary inspiration for the North Minahasa Regency Government to continue to strive for tourism in Likupang to be sustainable," said Novly.
