JAKARTA - October is celebrated as the World Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This momentum is an important reminder for all women in Indonesia to increase awareness of the risk of breast cancer. Data from Globocan in 2020 shows that breast cancer is the most common type of cancer in Indonesia with the number of new cases reaching 65,858 cases or 16.6% of the total cancer cases. The death rate due to breast cancer is also high, reaching 22,430 people.

For this reason, it is important to understand how to detect breast cancer early through 'Sadari' and 'Sadanis', as well as choose underwear wisely, one of which is a good bra for breast health.

Prevention is a crucial step in combating breast cancer, such as Self Breast Examination (SADARI), which is an independent breast examination procedure that can be done by carefully observing the breasts in front of the mirror to mark if there are bumps or other unusual signs on the breasts. In addition to doing SADARI, it is also recommended to routinely detect breast cancer by examining Clinical Breasts (SADANIS), routine breast examination clinically through breast ultrasound and emmographic radiologies.
