JAKARTA - After the success of the Korean drama Itaewon Class, the JTBC television channel prepared a replacement drama that is no less interesting, The World of the Married. This drama started broadcasting since March 27th. Different from Itaewon Class, which is thick with young people, The World of the Married tells of adult love relationships.

The World of the Married stars Kim Hee Ae and Park Hae Joon where the drama brings together the two as husband and wife. This drama was directed by Mo Wan-Il who had directed the drama of the same genre, Misty. Writing the script was left to Joo Hyun who wrote Revolutionary Love.

Ji Sun Woo (Kim Hee Ae) is a medical doctor. She has a successful career and a happy family, but behind it all Sun Woo has to face her husband Lee Tae O (Park Hae Joon) who turned out to be betrayal.

On the other hand, Tae O is an entrepreneur in the entertainment industry sector. His desire as a famous film director is still high. His job is supported by his wife, but this does not necessarily make Tae O loyal because he is involved in a complicated relationship.

The drama The World of the Married is a Korean drama remake of the British television series Doctor Foster which aired on BBC One in 2015. Even so, the director admits The World of the Married has a difference from the original drama.

Apart from Kim Hee Ae and Park Hae Joon, The World of the Married stars Han Seo Hee, Lee Kyoung Young, and Kim Young Min who just acted in Crash Landing on You.

This drama received a positive response because its premiere reached a rating of 6.3 percent and made it the biggest first ever figure in JTBC's broadcast history. This drama is also Kim Hee Ae's comeback after her last drama, Second to Last Love in 2016.

With 16 episodes in total, The World of the Married - rated R by JTBC - can be watched from Fridays and Saturdays at 10:50 p.m. South Korean time. In addition, it can also be watched via television or streaming services on demand.
