Aa Gym divorces Ninih Tea

JAKARTA - The news about Aa Gym and Teh Ninih's divorce that circulated in January 2021 turned out to be not just a figment. At that time through the Facebook post of his second son, Muhammad Ghaza Al Ghazali. In the upload Ghaza stated that Aa Gym had divorced her mother.

I hereby inform all my friends, that my mother, Ninih Muthmainah has been divorced by my father (Aa Gym), "wrote Ghaza on his Facebook account. Ghaza then deleted the post. Even so, Ghaza did not correct the news. In a new post Ghaza explains the reason for removing the post was to respect the parents' decision.

After no news was heard again, Wednesday, March 17, the Instagram account @lambe_turah uploaded a screenshot of the agenda for the divorce trial of KH Abdullah Gymnastiar bin Engkus Kuswara with Hj Ninih Muthmainnah binti H. Muhammad Muchsin. The trial took place at the Bandung religious court with case number 5497 / Pdt.G / 2020 / PA.Badg.

There has been no further information about the causes of their divorce. However, the public suspected that this event was again due to polygamy by Aa Gym.

This is the second time Aa Gym has divorced Teh Ninih. As is known, previously Aa Gym divorced Teh Ninih on June 21, 2011 and reconciled it in March 2012. The divorce was due to Aa Gym's polygamy decision which was not in line with Teh Ninih's thinking.

In 2006, KH Abdullah Gymnastiar alias Aa Gym made a public scene, because he decided to go into polygamy. At that time, Aa Gym's first wife, Hj. Ninih Mutmainnah aka Ninih Tea, trying to accept her husband's decision to remarry. However, the Aa Gym household with Ninih Tea, which was built for more than 20 years, was destroyed, after Aa Gym remarried with Teh Rini.

It was Aa Gym who filed a divorce application against Teh Ninih, through the Bandung Religious Court, in 2011 ago. In the trial it was revealed that the reason Aa Gym divorced Teh Ninih, Aa Gym felt that the principle of his preaching with his wife was different. Not only that, Aa Gym's decision on polygamy was also a problem between the two of them.
