JAKARTA - Disney announced a number of release date changes for some of their flagship IPs that will continue. Starting from the live action version of Moana, new films from the world of Star Wars, to the Toy Story 5.
The live-action version of Moana, which was originally planned to air in 2025, has now changed its date to July 10, 2026.
The live-action version of the Moana film still stars Dwayne Johnson as Maui in a different format. This change in date also gives Moana 2 the opportunity to be the sequel to the animated version.
Moana 2 will air theatrically on November 27, 2024 and compete with Wicked from Universal.
