The live-action version of Moana, which was originally planned to air in 2025, has now changed its date to July 10, 2026.
The live-action version of the Moana film still stars Dwayne Johnson as Maui in a different format. This change in date also gives Moana 2 the opportunity to be the sequel to the animated version.
Moana 2 will air theatrically on November 27, 2024 and compete with Wicked from Universal.
