Reporting from the Hadith Study Center, Imam Tirmidzi narrated that the fasting of Syaban, including Nisfu Syaban, is the best fast after Ramadan. The Prophet SAW said:

Meskipun hadith di atas dhaif atau lemah, Orang Islam selalu boleh melaksanakan ibadah sunnah tersebut. Dalam hadith lain yang sahih, Rasulullah SAW melaksanakan pe fasting di bulan tersebut. Tetapi ada batas waktunya, yakni hingga dengan tengah bulan Syaban atau tanggal 15.
