Not Dreamed, Marthino Lio Feels Guarded By Glenn Fredly

JAKARTA - Artist Marthino Lio is trusted to play the late Glenn Fredly in the film Glenn Fredly The Movie directed by actor Lukman Sardi presented by Time International Films produced by DAMN I Love Indonesia Pictures in collaboration with Adhya Pictures.

In the official poster and trailer release event, Marthino Lio admitted that he felt burdened when offered as Glenn Fredly. He even had doubts about accepting the offer at first.

"I feel very burdened every day during filming," said Marthino Lio in the Kuningan area, South Jakarta, Wednesday, January 24.

However, after accepting this offer, Marthino Lio admitted that he felt like someone was taking care of him. Moreover, he only found out that he had a relative bond with Glenn Fredly a few weeks after filming.

"I didn't dream it, it's just that I feel like someone is taking care of it," continued Marthino Lio.

"I was related to Bung Glenn, so in the past my brother was invited to his house, Sis Uci and Bung Glenn. Then I was told that we had a relationship between you, and after a long time, 2007, now at the Tanda Mata concert, Sis Uci came and she told me 'Your brother's name is Igo, right? Your brother was at my house, we were brothers' 'Hah?' Oh, yes, that's it, 'yes, it's just fun fact after shooting for a few weeks, finding out if we are still related (brothers)," he explained.

For Marthino Lio, Glenn Fredly is an extraordinary and more human figure than humans themselves because of his life's vision of always trying to unite differences between humans.

"I used to see man like a god, unreachable, untouchable, only now after meeting people who knew him turned out to be more human than humans," he explained.

"Because he is more concerned with how to unite, how can we focus on equality but differences, how can we prioritize humanity," he concluded.
