JAKARTA - Actress Bianca Hello returns to her role in the latest horror film produced by Hitmaker Studio, directed by director Guntur Soeharjanto and produced by Rocky Soraya, entitled Panggonan Wingit. In this film, Bianca stars alongside Luna Maya and Christian Sugiono.

In an exclusive interview at the VOI office, Bianca Hello tried to explain in more depth about her role as Fey, who is the younger sister of Raina, played by Luna Maya in this film. Bianca said that Fey and Raina have a fairly close relationship as siblings, Fey is even described as a sister who really loves her sister.

“I play Fey. Fey is Raina's younger sister, played by Luna. So, Fey's character is very opposite to her sister's, her sister is probably more pessimistic in life, she no longer has any direction in wanting to live, there are so many problems, I am my sister's encouragement, then I'm the character who tells the story, continues to be understanding and loving. It's really like her older sister, she's very mature, she's still in high school, she's the mature one who encourages her older sister to, 'Sis, don't forget God', like that," said Bianca Hello, not long ago.

Getting the role of a schoolgirl turned out not to be a difficulty for Bianca, because she herself already had one as a schoolgirl who was in high school. However, difficulties during the shooting process were found more in the use of language in this 1 hour 50 minute film.

She said that during the script reading process, the cast of the film Panggonan Wingit agreed to use standard Indonesian language dialogue in accordance with the story's setting in the 80s.

"Difficulty? No, it just so happens that I also went to high school, so it's only possible that I had difficulty with the language because we all agree that in this film we use standard Indonesian, which is good and correct, but if I admit it, it's difficult, but it's not really difficult, it's like adapting,' 'nggak' becomes 'tidak', 'aja' becomes 'saja', so that's it, nothing like impossible thing," explained Bianca.

"Because the script was originally not standard, we just agreed, let's just use standard language, because in the late 1980s it was still good and correct Indonesian," she continued.

Seeing this, Bianca asked their acting coach, Susilo Badar, more questions regarding the use of language. Bianca often asks about good and correct pronunciation for the dialogue, then the tone used or the words written in the dialogue.

Playing the role of Luna Maya's younger sister, Bianca tries to tell about her process in building chemistry with Luna. She said that it was not difficult to get close to Luna Maya because she felt that Luna was very open with all the actors during the filming process. According to Bianca, this is beneficial for those who are shy.

Therefore, Luna, Bianca and other players played games several times during filming breaks and went out together to just eat or drink to build chemistry with each other.

"It's really easy because Sis Luna Maya is also someone who says, 'Come on, let's play this', 'Come on, let's eat this'. She's a very welcoming person even though I tend to be a quiet and introverted person, but she's someone who embraces me, who says 'oh yeah, let's play this, let's play', like when reading she likes to bring something, 'I'll bring this from home, let's eat together. Or else, if we're filming and taking a break, we'll play cards, Sis Luna invites us to play cards, monopoly, let's hang out in the front cafe, from there actually, there's no difficulty whatsoever because Sis Luna is a very welcoming and very friendly person, ” explained Bianca.

Frequent In Horror Movies

The horror film Panggonan Wingit is not Bianca Hello's first horror film. Most of the films in which this woman whose real name is Bianca Astrid Hello has played are in the horror genre, even though she said that she is actually timid and doesn't really like watching horror films.

"If you like it, it's normal, because I'm actually a coward and rarely watch horror films, it's just because in Indonesia there are more fans of horror films, so maybe there are more horror film productions and more offers of horror films, but I don't think so. "There's no problem with that because they're both works, so as long as the story is good and there's potential for lots of fans, why not?," explained Bianca.

"Yes, actually, whether I'm afraid or not afraid, it's a horror film, it's also a film that's also a work, so it's alike and I don't shoot, cause like we know the storyline, so when I'm filming there's nothing I'm really afraid of or not, it just depends on the filming process", she explained.

Even so, Bianca admits that she quite believes in mystical things even though she has never seen these mystical events directly.

"Believe, believe they exist, but I'm a coward, yes, I'm a coward because I am the victim of horror film, I watched the ghosts are bleeding etc.,  but I've never seen them myself so I believe they exist but I don't believe it like 'no I don't really like believe believe' but believe they exist," said Bianca.

"Maybe I've heard about the incident, but I don't even know what it actually was, I've also seen something, but then again, it could be my imagination or what I don't know, I just don't know. Yes (don't want to think anything strange)," she continued.

Continuing to be involved in the world of horror films was not Bianca's plan at the start of her career. He said that since he first entered the world of acting, he never ruled out the possibility of playing in various existing film genres. However, Bianca firmly said that she was quite proud to be able to play in an Indonesian horror film, which is one of the best-selling film genres in the country.

"From the start, I didn't have any particular preferences as long as the story was good, that's all, actually, there wasn't anything that I didn't have a problem with, actually, 'Oh, your films are mostly horror, aren't they', so why? Horror, that's something that we should be proud of, especially as Luna often mentions, in other countries there are action films, Korea has drama, Indonesia with its horror, I should be proud because I am still given projects from Indonesia which are indeed mostly horror," she said.

Because of this pride, Bianca admits that she doesn't mind if it turns out she has to continue playing in the horror film genre. Because according to this woman of Dutch descent, she is just trying to continue working in the world of acting, not only in horror films but in films of other genres too.

"I don't mind, because it's not a problem for me, it's not a problem if people think that I'm 'oh, this is it, horror players can't do other genres', not necessarily because players want as much work as possible, we want to create, not only in horror films but also in other films, so it's not a problem if people say this to me because again it's my work. Whether it's a horror film, drama or comedy or whatever, it's still a work, so what's more, I should be proud of it, that's okay. I don't have a problem, because in Indonesia there are more horror films," concluded Bianca, closing the chat with VOI.
