JAKARTA - The story of this film is based on a novel of the same name written by Gia Pratama Putra. While the script was worked on by Bagus Bramanti and directed by Indra Gunawan. The film #BerhentidiKamu stars Roger Danuarta and Cut Meyriska as the main characters.

The film produced by Mizan Production and Max Pictures starring Roger Danuarta and Cut Meyriska will later be supported by the performances of Salshabilla Adriani, Claudy Putri, Wanda Hamidah, Roy Marten, Unang, and Onadio Leonardo. The film Stop at Kamu tells the story of Doctor Gia Pratama (Roger Danuarta) who feels it is time to find a partner. During the Umrah, he prayed in front of the Ka'bah so that he would soon be met with his soul mate.

Shortly thereafter, the figure of Elsa (Salshabilla Adriani) was present in his life. Gia believes that Elsa is the woman God sent for her. He then did various ways to get Elsa to accept it. Gia even wants to pay for a vacation with Elsa and her family in Europe. Unfortunately, a few days before departure, Elsa began to change.

Vacation in snowy mountains which should be a beautiful moment, turns into a nightmare for Gia because Elsa rejects her love. Shortly thereafter, Gia accidentally meets Syafira (Cut Meyriska), who is also heartbroken because she failed to marry.

Watching this film without any expectations makes the feeling of watching so good. Moreover, the film's story about finding a partner, aka a mate, is common. What's interesting is, this film flows like everyday life from the first minute. Simple and not exaggerated. Including the wadrobe business, it seems that this film pays close attention to the details of the appearance of the characters who are made not far from the average audience.

How Gia is so cute, crazy about Elsa. Feeling embarrassed when you want to meet, confused about choosing clothes, every scene feels real because maybe everyone who watches has experienced the same thing.

The warmth of the family that is shown in this film is also the right seasoning. Each family plays a role in shaping Gia's love story. There are jokes, laughter, tears, tragedy, trust, sacrifice, and love that are displayed one after another. Without patronizing but can be felt easily.

The strongest key of this film is a neat scenario. Also great edits. Like the belief that God gives humans a trial for a specific reason, the scenes in this film appear for reasons that come at the right time. Nothing is too small, every scene shows its proper function.

Four songs that help to drive the audience's emotions also make it easier for the audience to stop at you to change the mood. Moreover, Roger Danuarta's acting was able to display tang expressions at the right time without speaking words. It seems that director Indra Gunawan should be in the ranks of directors who are worthy of the wait for his film.

Actually, the humor in this film feels crisp and awkward in some scenes. Especially for the medical scenes in the emergency room which exaggerated it felt uncomfortable. As a doctor, Rogar seemed keeter because the doctor's stethoscope was mostly a display on the neck, only by guessing and then being able to diagnose correctly. It's just that because this profession is just an introduction to the story of finding a soul mate, that minor mistake can be accepted and forgotten because the scene continues to flow.

The funny thing is, after watching half of the duration I just remembered that this film was adapted from Dr. Gia's tweet about Boils Bringing Love which was later made into a novel. I am rarely satisfied when I watch a film based on a story. But at the end of this film, I get the same feeling when I finished reading Dr. Gia's tweet first. But, don't worry, enjoying a movie without reading the book won't spoil the atmosphere.

It's a little exaggerated maybe for me to juxtapose this film with the phenomenal drama from Korea, It's Ok That Love. When wounded people find each other, heal each other, form new hearts, the belief in love will be very strong. The feeling sticks tight after watching It's Ok That's Love and I got it back after watching Stop at You. Even if you watch it over and over again you won't get bored.
