Brooklyn Nine-Nine Star Andre Braugher Dies

JAKARTA - Sad news came from the Hollywood industry. Actor Andre Braugher reportedly passed away on Tuesday, December 12. This news was confirmed by the Braugher public, Jennifer Allen.

According to Variety, it is not yet known what caused Andre Braugher's death.

Andre Braugher is known as Captain Raymond Holt in the Brooklyn Nine-Nine series which airs from 2013 to 2021. His stoic and unreasonable character makes him one of the characters of concern.

In addition, his acting was also known through the Homicide series: Life on the Street as a detective Frank Pembleton.

Born on July 1, 1962, Andre Braugher started his career after attending Juiliard School in the drama division. His first role was the Glory series where he played Thomas Searles, a man who joined the black regime.

Throughout his career, he received 11 Primetime Emmy awards and two Golden Globe nominations. He also played supporting roles in a number of films such as the Poseidon, The Mist, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, The Gambir, and She Said.

He also starred in a number of series such as The Thief, The Good Fight, BoJack Total, House, and several episodes in the New Girl series.

His phenomenal role in the Brooklyn Nine-Nine series earned him a Supporting Actor nomination at the Primetime Emmy four times.

In 1991, Andre Braugher married actress Ami Brabson who co-starred in the series Homicide: Life on the Street.

Andre Braugher died at the age of 61 and left his wife and three children.
