The Summer I Turned Pretty, Amazon Prime's New Series Based On Jenny Han's Book

JAKARTA - Successful with the adaptation of the book series To All The Boys, the novel by writer Jenny Han entitled The Summer I Turned Pretty will be adapted in serial form for Amazon Prime Video streaming service.

The Summer I Turned Pretty is a multigenerational drama that tells the story of a love triangle between one woman and two siblings, the relationship between mother and children, and the friendship of women.

Variety describes the series as a coming of age story about first love, first heartbreak and the magic that transformed one perfect summer.

"For fans of the book, I think this series is worth the wait. For those who are new to the Summer series, I hope you fall in love with the characters and stories that are close to my heart, ”said Jenny Han.

Amazon Prime Video also hopes that the series will draw customers' attention to the tantalizing young adult stories.

Previously, the trilogy film To All The Boys, which was adapted from Jenny Han's novel, achieved success through its release on Netflix. The final part of To All The Boys will be released this month.

Jenny Han is co-executive producer with Gabrielle Shanton. The plan, the series The Summer I Turned Pretty has eight episodes and the pilot episode will be written by Han.
