Mank Leads The Nominations For The 2021 Critics Choice Awards
Mank (Netflix)

JAKARTA - After the nomination of Golden Globe and SAG was announced last week, now it's the turn for Critics Choice Awards.

Netflix leads again with 72 nominations. The movie Mank from Netflix directed by David Fincher gets 12 nominations. Minari from A24 gets 10 nominations, whereas Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and News of the World from Universal gets eight and seven nominations.

Considering some names, the Critics Choice Awards has the largest number of candidates. In one category there are 10 candidates compared to other award nominations that only have 5 names.

Besides, the Critics Choice Awards has several movies that don't get much attention from another award. We may mention Da 5 Bloods directed by Spike Lee. This movie gets six nominations even though the Golden Globe award doesn't give any nominations.
