BTS Describes Their 7 Year Career Journey In Map Of The Soul: 7

JAKARTA - The Bangtan Sonyeondan group or BTS officially comeback with the new album Map of the Soul: 7. A total of 20 tracks including songs on the album Map of the Soul: Persona are included in this album. Ahead of its release on February 21 yesterday, BTS members shared a few stories about the album.

Shadow is the first song released on this comeback. From the music video and lyrics, this song shows the dark side of an idol behind its fame. Black Swan's pre-release single likens a dancer who is not passionate about his dance. BTS performed this song on The Late Late Show With James Corden.

Ego is the second track J-Hope will sing solo in the second video trailer. The nuance of the story that adorns this song is a complement when J-Hope perpetuates being himself in the midst of fame. There are consequences that we choose whatever life choices we accept.

Then ON, the main track in this comeback. BTS also divided the two versions of the release, namely the BTS version itself and the duet version with Sia. ON is a song that describes their feelings on their 7-year musical journey. Sia herself sang her part in English.

Louder Than Bombs, written by Troye Sivan, is one of the tracks that ARMY (BTS fans) have been waiting for. Moreover, several times BTS mentioned Troye Sivan as a singer they wanted to have a duet with. Falsetto Jimin sounds great on this track.

Then We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal is a sequel to We Are Bulletproof Pt.2 which is in the album Dark and Wild (2014). This song has a dominant pop element and is different from Pt.2 which is very hip-hop with a trap beat.

Next track UGH! written by the rap line executor of BTS, namely RM, Suga, and J-Hope. This outspoken rap trio expressed their anger deeply. For 0:00 (Zero O'Clock) sung by Jimin, V, Jungkook, and Jin. This slow r & b-pitched track features a broader fourth vocal ability.
