Acting Debut In Sleep Call Film, Rachel Vennya Has Difficulty Forming Characters

JAKARTA - Rachel Vennya finally debuted as an actress through the latest film by Fajar Nugros entitled Sleep Call. He acts as one of the employees in an illegal online loan company.

Rachel Vennya describes the character played as a good woman who is in a toxic environment. On the other hand, her character is a person who often has difficulty socializing.

The 27-year-old influencer feels that the role played is quite different from her original nature. However, Rachel tries to understand what makes the characters played difficult to socialize.

"In my personal opinion, I'm not like the role I play. But it's understandable why this character can be like that," Rachel Vennya said in Senayan, South Jakarta on Monday, August 7.

Regarding the difficulty of making an acting debut, Rachel Vennya admitted that she needed time to shape a character who was considered different from the original essence.

"The most difficult thing is character formation. It must really understand the character and how to build it," said Rachel Vennya.

However, Rachel said she was happy with her acting discharge. He felt that all the actors who were his co-stars were fun figures.

"What is certain is that the new experience of meeting many actors is fun. Everything is very fun," he said.

Furthermore, Rachel Vennya told how she got more dialogue before filming. He admitted that Fajar Nugros as the director added dialogue for his character more than what was previously in the script.

"Maybe Mas Fajar sees the potential of this character seems good if it's in the middle of the scene. He finally asked me to try to enter with this dialogue. It's really a challenge for me, especially since this is really new to me," said Rachel Vennya.

Reflecting on her shooting experience, Rachel Vennya feels that there are still many opportunities for her to develop as an actor. She is challenged to be able to get out of her comfort zone so far.

"Because I feel I'm still young, there are so many things I can try and there are many new challenges. I have to get out of my comfort zone," concluded Rachel Vennya.
