Court Rejects Yoo Ah In's Official Arrest Regarding Drug Cases

JAKARTA - The South Korean court rejected a police request to detain Yoo Ah In in connection with a drug case. Wednesday, May 24, the actor arrived at the Seoul Central District Court for being proven to have used five types of drugs.

Launching Kookmin Ilbo, Yoo Ah In's hands were tied with a blue cloth during his 90-minute trial. The video circulating also shows the actor throwing a coffee bottle by someone who made him look at the throw.

Before entering court, Yoo Ah In said, "I will seriously cooperate during the process and show what I can."

"I regret (using drugs). I don't think this is a decision I can make. I respect the court's decision and thank you," he said.

Yoo Ah In was detained at the Mapo police station until the court issued a detention warrant. Yoo Ah In admitted that most of the charges in court as well as evidence had been collected. However, because of that, the court canceled the detention.

Yoo Ah In admits the use of marijuana, Propofol, ketaminan, and zolpidem which are used as sleeping pills. However, the Hellbound star received the drug illegally, not with medical demand.

On the other hand, Yoo Ah In denied the use of cocaine and allegedly lost evidence. This is because a number of evidences were not found at his residence.

Due to his involvement, various projects starring Yoo Ah In were affected. The Match, which is scheduled to be released this year, has been completed but the release date has not been announced.

Then the Goodbye Earth series that he starred in was also postponed. The character Yoo Ah In in the second season of Hellbound was also officially replaced by actor Kim Sung Cheol.

In early February, Yoo Ah In was questioned for the first time regarding the illegal use of Propofol. He also tested positive for marijuana, cocaine, and ketaminas.
