The Indonesia Kaya Gallery Is Reopened, This Is A Row Of Nusantara Art Performers Who Are Ready To Appear

JAKARTA - Established since 2013, the Indonesia Kaya Gallery has been closed for more than 2 years due to the pandemic. With a new look, GIK, which is located at West Mall Grand Indonesia, will reopen to the public on Saturday, May 13.

GIK comes by combining the concepts of education and multimedia digital to introduce Indonesian culture in a fun way, open to the public, and free of charge.

Renitasari Adrian as Program Director of the Indonesia Kaya Gallery thanked him for the support of many parties. He said that GIK, which was reopened, could not be separated from the role of art workers, media colleagues, and Indonesian art lovers.

Over the years, GIK has become one of the cultural stages for artists and the creative community. Within 10 years of its inauguration, we have lost various art workers who had displayed their work on the GIK stage. Hopefully, with the presence of #GIKfaceabaru, we can encourage various creative communities to create new ideas and develop more creative people in Indonesian society," said Renitasari during a press conference at the Indonesia Kaya Gallery, Central Jakarta, Friday, May 12.

The opening of GIK again will raise the theme Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, which will have many diverse art performances throughout May. At the opening ceremony of GIK, Tompi, Sri Panggung, and Danang Suryonegoro were presented.

Later, GIK, which is present as a cultural stage, will provide an art performance room in the form of a auditorium where art workers can carry out various activities such as workshops, dances, theaters, monologists, musical performances, literary appreciation, film screenings and so on.

GIK's main auditatory has a capacity of 150 people and is supported by various facilities to support its maximum performance and make those who come to watch satisfied. Every art actor has the same opportunity to use the auditorium, both for training and performances.

In addition to displaying various cultures of the archipelago on the auditorium cultural stage, the concept of GIK design still raises Indonesia's uniqueness in interior, such as a touch of rattan with a motif of bamboo shoots and tanjung flowers and machete motifs (on celing).
