JAKARTA - Arfita Dwi Putri revealed that religious differences were the reason for suing for divorce from actor Yama Carlos. The mother of one child admitted that she wanted to turn around to carry out the Islamic law that she believed in.

As for his heart's determination to sue for divorce from Yama Carlos, whom he has married since 2016, occurred after his biological father died at the end of 2022.

"But the hardest point for me was when my father died at the end of last year. I don't want to be a disobedient child, I don't want to burden the deceased's way there," said Arfita Dwi Putri in Cawang, East Jakarta on Thursday, May 11.

For her different religions with Yama, Arfita said that she had thought about divorce several times. He expressed regret that he had married a man who did not believe in him.

However, divorce is not an easy thing to decide. Arfita said he often thought about the future of his only child, Marco, if he had to grow up without a complete parent.

"I know this is wrong for a long time, just strengthening to separate is not easy," he said.

Arfita is also aware of the many negative comments from the public to him, who said that he should have thought carefully before getting married. Yama Carlos' wife admits she made a mistake.

"I've always emphasized that I want to go back to the right path, according to Islamic law. Maybe many netizens have said why not from the beginning, why didn't I think about it before getting married. I know I'm your partner, I made a lot of mistakes, I'm already at a level that is up to what to blaspheme," said Arfita while issuing tears.

Arfita said that her decision to divorce Yama Carlos was very difficult to take. However, she asked her husband to accept her decision in a good way.

"O Allah, if this is the way that must be taken, this is very difficult. If it is too forced to marry of different religions, it is also difficult, and I just want to come back with Allah," concluded Arfita Dwi Putri, wife of Yama Carlos.
