JAKARTA - Former Guns N 'Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke clarified a previous comment that he was asked to take part in the Not In This Lifetime tour but he had to turn it down.

Gilby replaced founding guitarist Izzy Stradlin in the GN'R line-up in 1991, during the Use Your Illusion tour. He stayed with this band for three years.

After leaving GN'R, Gilby continued his career as a producer and solo artist. He also played in Slash's Snakepit, Rock Star Supernova, HEART and other artists.

Gilby discussed his reasons for not being involved in the GN'R reunion tour featuring three of the five members of the band's classic line-up - vocalist Axl Rose, guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan - during a new interview with The SDR Show.

Gilby, along with Slash, McKagan, and former GN'R drummers Steven Adler and Matt Sorum, performed three songs from the album Appetite For Destruction with Myles Kennedy at the GN'R Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony in April 2012 in Cleveland, Ohio. .

Kennedy, who served as lead vocalist in the solo band Slash and Alter Bridge, sang Mr. Brownstone, Sweet Child O 'Mine and Paradise City.
