Not Joining Euphoria 3, Barbie Ferreira Denies Conflict With Sam Levinson

JAKARTA - Barbie Ferreira has opened her voice regarding her exit from the third season of Euphoria. Ahead of her latest production, the actress announced that she did not star in Kat Hernandez.

After the news, news circulated that he had an argument with the creator of Sam Levinson's series while filming the second season of Euphoria. They suspect this is related to Kat Hernandez's story and even reportedly Ferreira left the set.

When people ask about the second season, many think I'm a victim and I always answer, 'No, I'm fine. I promise,' Barbie Ferreira's story in Armchair Expert's podcast.

I feel like I'm involved in a drama I've never asked for and wanted to talk about. I don't think I'm going to talk because I'm like adding a fire. Don't believe what you guys are reading," he said.

The 26-year-old actress emphasized that she did not leave the set but this was an agreement because the development of her character was deemed undirected.

"My leg had a sprain and I had to take the X-ray. Maybe that's what they meant (why I left the location)?" Ferreira continued.

"I don't think there is a place for Kat development. I don't think she fits into this series. I don't know if this can defend her but I think two parties know," he said.

"I don't want him to just be a fat friend. I don't want to play that and they definitely know," Ferreira said.

In addition, Barbie Ferreira explained that Euphoria's filming lasted nine months so she couldn't take on other projects. In terms of careers, Ferreira feels it doesn't make sense to shoot for that while her role is getting less and less.

It feels sad to see fans disappointed. I lived too long. Sam wrote things he understood. I don't think he's connected to Kat. I like Kat so I want to find my own net," he said.

Kat Fernandez is one of the supporting characters in the Euphoria series. In the first season, he was present as a good friend of Maddy and experienced bullying because he was still a virgin. Then in the second season, Kat faced an identity crisis.

On the other hand, the third season of Euphoria will start production in the second half of this year for screening in 2024.
