Dennis Adhiswara's Unique Experience While Homecoming In The Month Of Ramadan

JAKARTA - Homecoming before Ramadan and Eid is a habit that Indonesian Muslims do. Everyone certainly has a unique story with their homecoming experience to their hometowns.

Dennis Adhiswara shared the most memorable homecoming experience of his life. Since sitting in grade 2 elementary school, the actor said that he and his family in Jakarta go home every year to Malang. However, it was time for Dennis to sit in 5th grade elementary school. He told that at that time he had to go home alone without being accompanied by his parents.

"I went home with my family by land, took a car. That was when I was in grade 2 elementary school, and it continued every year. Until one day in grade 5 elementary school, I went home alone from Jakarta to Malang, went back and forth alone," he told the media crew in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta on Monday, March 20, 2023.

Dennis said that going home was his first experience traveling long distances by bus alone. Armed with a CD Player given by his parents, the actor admitted that he enjoyed his trip at that time.

"Just imagine, elementary school children in the 90s armed with CD Players, all the way he listened to music while enjoying trips outside of jelndea, views from Jakarta to Malang," he said.

The 40-year-old actor did not explain why his parents at that time allowed him to travel long distances alone. However, for him the experience was a pleasant experience. He couldn't understand why at that time he was so brave to go home alone.

However, Dennis did not suggest if any of the children were allowed to travel far alone, especially during the homecoming period where the number of people traveling was more than usual.

"Although what should be thought is that for today, I don't think so. The era is different, the level of security is also different, so it is not intended to do that," he concluded.
