JAKARTA - The hope of the family and attorneys for Ammar Zoni to undergo rehabilitation after being re-involved in drug abuse cases has become a reality. The 29-year-old soap opera actor will undergo rehabilitation starting today, Monday, March 23, 2023. Head of the Narcotics Investigation Unit of the South Jakarta Metro Police, Kompol Achmad Ardhy, said that Ammar Zoni and two other suspects would undergo rehabilitation. "We as investigators draw conclusions, we carry out assessments and rehabilitations for the three suspects, AZ, R and M," said Achmad Ardhy. The police stated that they had coordinated with the South Jakarta City National Narcotics Agency (BNNK) to conduct an assessment of the three suspects. Achmad Ardhy said that Ammar Zoni and two other suspects would jointly undergo rehabilitation at the government's rehabilitation center. "And today, brother AZ, R and M are assigned to undergo rehabilitation at the Government Rehabilitation Center in Lido for 3 to 6 months," he said. The decision to carry out an assessment and rehabilitation of Ammar Zoni and two other suspects was made after investigators from the South Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Unit completed their examination. Achmad Ardhy said three suspects were not proven to be involved in a drug trafficking network, and were purely drug users.
